 Took my car out sat nyt 1st time since a very good thrashing on thurs nyt


any now the old girl is ticking over very high between 1200 1900 rpm wound the idle screw


nearly rite in 2 get it down, im hoping its either the inlet gasket or plenum gasket any other


suggestions lads awaiting new gaskets at the moment, even with iscv unplugged its still high

I suppose it could be the Throttle Position Sensor........ dunno..

Sounds like you are on the right track Glenn


Sounds like an air leak of some sort.


Try spraying some WD40 around the inlet manifold with the engine running, if the revs pick up further that'll confirm it

 Doing the gaskets 2 morro now hopefully they shouldnt take 2 long they look a bit


 fiddlely, mite get sum cometic 1s in the future when i get round 2 having my spare inlet


 and plenum chromed.

 SAD init eh also thinkink of having all my spec-r stuff chromed over winter 2 plus still got more stuff 2 put on yet  thinking of a rs500 style chargecooler spec-r have only ever sold 1 but unsure if it would be any good.

 Gaskets are done cars running plenum 1 was shaggered big time inlet was leaking at port 4 at bottom. thing is it shes running fine adjusted idle etc but the idle screw is still wound quite away in still going 2 give her another gert ragging later see if that makes any difference
